Herve A. Napi Wouapi
Research Fellow – Agriculture and Sustainable Development
Herve Alain Napi Wouapi is a socio-environmentalist and lecturer at the Department of Rural Socioeconomics and Agricultural Extension (SERVA), Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences (FASA), University of Dschang (UDs). He is a research fellow – Agriculture and Sustainable Development at the Nkafu Policy Institute.
Napi completed his MSc by research work in Technological and Socio-Economic Planning (with emphasis in environmental policy and the global challenges, Roskilde University, Denmark) in 2007, after which he worked on a range of issues related to environmental impact assessment studies, climate change, and adaptation in the rural livelihoods-agriculture sector in the semiarid areas of Sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2011-2012, he served as a research awardee for the International Development Research Center (IDRC, Canada) under the Climate Change Adaption in Africa (CCAA) Program. In 2013 he became a freelance consultant focusing on monitoring and evaluation, adaptation in both rural livelihoods-agriculture and the urban sector. Napi has played a leading and coordinating role in providing technical and content support to the African Union Commission (AUC) on the 2014 Year of Agriculture and Food Security in Africa to inform the development of the continental strategy and roadmap for the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme for the next decade to 2025.
