Bishop NKEA Andrew FUANYA
Bishop of Mamfe
Bishop NKEA Andrew FUANYA, is the Bishop of Mamfe. He has always been concerned since the beginning, about the current situation in English-speaking areas in Cameroon. Bishop Andrew Nkea stayed from 31 December 2017 to 1 January 2018 in the state of Cross River, where there are nearly 10,000 Cameroonian refugees. He noticed their stories pathetic and the conditions in which they live are appalling as they are scattered everywhere and sleep on verandas and in open spaces like people without homeland. He took the opportunity to appeal to the government, pleading for a return to normalcy. “It’s not a good situation. We must all unite, the government, the soldiers, the people to improve the situation and work for peace, “he said. We are shortlisting him for being the only one authority to go there and call and advocate for peace.
